Our Spanish visa service fees range from AED 350 for document checking and guidance up to AED 1,900 for our VIP package with a dedicated case manager. Government and BLS fees are separate and passed through at cost, with receipts.

Spain uses BLS International, not VFS Global, to handle its visa applications from the UAE, with centres in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. BLS runs on a strict self-booking system with live identity verification: the applicant creates their own online account and has to be present online for the actual booking moment, rather than an agent booking it centrally on their behalf. This is the main practical difference clients notice compared with our other Schengen guides.

We prepare your complete file, cover letter, and checklist exactly as we would for any Schengen application, set up your BLS account correctly, tourism or business, standard or premium slot, from the start, and monitor the portal for a slot to open. The one moment that has to be done in person is the booking itself, since BLS verifies your identity live at that point; we walk you through it over a screen-share call so you're never guessing what a field means or missing the window once a slot appears.

Spain has genuinely limited appointment availability, especially from July through September, this is a well-known, industry-wide bottleneck, not a sign something is wrong with your case. There's no legitimate way to skip the queue: BLS can't be paid, emailed, or called to release a slot faster, and attempting to would be treated as circumventing the system, which we won't do. What actually helps is starting early, ideally at least 2 months ahead since the portal only shows a few months of availability at a time, and, if Spain isn't necessarily where you'll spend the most nights on your trip, checking whether your itinerary lets you apply through a different Schengen country instead while still visiting Spain on the same visa.

Yes, there's no restriction based on which emirate your residence visa is in, you can select either city when you book. Abu Dhabi usually has more slots available than Dubai, so we'll generally suggest checking both.

No. BLS states this upfront: once confirmed, an appointment can't be postponed or rescheduled. You can cancel it, but without a refund. Only confirm a date you're sure will work, and make sure your documents will genuinely be ready by then before you book.

Not a reliable one. BLS's own portal is the only real source, there's no official alert system, and third-party bots aren't something we use or recommend, since it isn't a legitimate way around the queue. What actually works is checking frequently, which is part of what we do for clients we're monitoring for. Occasional slots do open up from cancellations, but that's not something to build a travel plan around.

Depending on the reason given, an appeal is sometimes possible, though not available for every case. Otherwise the option is to reapply, either for Spain again or through a different Schengen country if your itinerary allows it, which means revisiting which country you'd apply through based on nights spent. Yes, especially during busier periods. Spain's stated processing window is 15 to 45 working days, and BLS quotes the same range if you call them, it isn't hidden information. During peak season, summer in particular, it's common for a file to sit closer to the upper end of that range, and there's no way to know in advance where yours will land. Calling repeatedly or refreshing your tracking status doesn't move it along, and no update for a while doesn't mean anything is wrong or lost. Doorstep or a premium package changes how your documents are collected and returned, not how long the consulate takes to decide, so neither speeds this part up. The real safeguard is booking your appointment and planning your travel dates with real buffer, ideally 4 to 6 weeks before you actually need the passport back, rather than around the fastest possible case.

The sponsor is whoever pays for the trip. If you fund it yourself, your own employment and bank documents are what matter. If a family member pays, for example a spouse, the financial documents that count are theirs: passport, proof of employment, and a bank statement showing they can cover your costs, usually with a short letter confirming they are sponsoring you. For business travel, the sponsor is normally the company, which provides an invitation letter and, where asked, proof it will cover the expenses. We confirm whose documents are needed before your file is prepared.

Schengen countries share refusal records through the VIS system, so a prior refusal in another Schengen country is visible to Spain too.
